Former mortgage lender banned and fined

Jesus Nori, a former mortgage loan orignator at GreenChoice Bank, FSB, Chicago, Illinois, has agreed to a Consent Order issued by the OCC, directing that he pay a Civil Money Penalty of $10,000 and restitution of a total of $3,710 to two customers of the Bank, and that he be prohibited from participating in any way in the affairs of any financial institution, any federal depository institution regulatory agency, the FHFA or any Federal Home Loan Bank.

The OCC found that Nori directed four bank customers to write checks to him personally for bank services, and that those customers never received the services they paid for. The OCC also found that Nori lied in a sworn statement to the agency. Nori was deemed to have engaged in unsafe or oundound practices, breached his fiduciary duty to the bank, and his dishonesty resulted in unjust enrichment.
