Neighborhood National Bank pays $100K for BSA/AML failings

The OCC has issued a Consent Order for a $100,000 civil money penalty to be paid by NEIGHBORHOOD NATIONAL BANK, San Diego, California for violations of a prior OCC Consent Order for BSA/AML deficiencies issued on March 24, 2016.

The OCC found that the bank has not timely complied with the 2016 Order, which found that the bank had violated the Bank Secrecy Act and OCC regulations at 12 CFR § 21.21 (BSA compliance program), and (in a June 30, 2016, Board Letter) had violated 12 CFR § 21.11 (SAR filings).
