ACH Debit Card Compliance

Answered by:

Question:
Can you provide insight into what regulatory impact, if any, is associated with ACH debit cards? For example, does this product fall under Reg E compliance?
Answer:

Yes, such a card is most definitely an access device as defined in the regulation and the transactions qualify as EFTs subject to ACH rules and Reg E. For whatever it's worth, ACH debit cards have been around in small numbers for quite a long time.
