Business Email Compromises are transitioning, and they are truly treacherous.

Question:
What is a deep fake and is it a security concern?
Answer:

Yes! You should definitely be concerned about it. Deep fake technology is the use of AI or artificial intelligence to alter video and voice. The fraudster speaks the words and manipulates it to appear as if someone else is actually saying it. The words are in the voice of the target and the video image of the target appears to be speaking! The verbal component of deep fake technology is being used for a new form of Business Email Compromise (BEC) in which the fraudster calls in the wire request instead of using email.
