Generally no, while you may have cameras that show the common area around your safe deposit box area, those that show a customer reviewing the contents of his box would be a bad idea. If there is ever a claim that something was missing from the box, the fact that the bank has no idea what is in them is a valid defense. With a camera, you may be considered to know the contents and to have taken something.
Also ask yourself, what would this accomplish? Most areas have room for just one or two people anyway. There should be little threat of harm here and the boxes themselves are secured, and access areas to them can be monitored.
