CIP - Use Print Out In Lieu of Filed Articles

Can a print out/confirmation page from the Secretary of State's website verifying file date, status, officers, etc. on an entity be used in lieu of the actual filed articles for CIP and new account verification purposes?
Answer: 

It can, if your bank's CIP says you'll accept it. How reliable is such a printout? Can you control the circumstances under which you receive it? Can you be reasonably sure it came from the Secretary of State and wasn't cobbled together on a home computer?
