Concealed Carry

Question:
Working on the teller line I have decided I no longer want to handle someone who carries concealed weapons. How would be the best way for me to handle it at the teller line?
Answer:

The answer to this question depends on where your financial institution is located. Every state has different laws in regard to concealed carry. The best decision management can make is to discuss this topic with your legal counsel. In some states, you can post a sign stating that patrons cannot carry a gun into the institution. If a person does, they lose the right to concealed carry. In others, you may not want to post that sign as you remove safe harbor protections for your institution. I would not suggest anyone makes this decision on the front line without management being involved.
