CTR exemption - Listed or Non-listed Business?

Question: 
If I have the following title, which exemption would I choose? If I have John Doe Co., Inc., DBA McDonald's, would it be a non-listed business (since John Doe is a non-listed business), or because it's a McDonald's franchise and McDonald's is a listed company, would it be a listed company?
Answer: 

Your customer is John Doe Co., Inc. It is not the listed company. You can consider whether John Doe Co., Inc. will qualify as a Phase II exempt person, but you cannot give it Phase I status.
