CTRs Filed w/Transposed # On Drivers License

We have recently discovered that a few CTRs were filed with a (1) transposed number on the customer's drivers license (teller error). We have corrected the issue and were not sure if we should amend the CTRs that were filed with a number off, or consider this information "not-critical" and proceed by filing with the corrected number from now on?ken

The only people who call tell you that corrections are not necessary work for FinCEN. You need to call the Helpline and ask.

It's true there are "critical" fields. However, there are no fields where a "non-critical" label is accurate. From the beginning, FinCEN guidance has said you must supply any information that you have.
