Document Management vs. Document Imaging

Question:
What’s the difference between document management and document imaging?
Answer:

Document management is the sum of an organization's systems and processes that it uses to manage information. In banking, efficient document management is particularly important when it comes to paper-heavy commercial loan files. Document imaging is often thought of as a subset of document management and includes the methods that are used to organize, store, and retrieve the documents. However, overlap does exist between these two terms, which are sometimes used interchangeably.
