Does Federal Reg Prohibit Sunday Closings?

Question:
Does federal regulation prohibit Sunday closings?
Answer:

Answer from Randy: The Federal regulations have virtually nothing to say about either being open or closed on a Sunday.

Answer:

Answer from Andy: If the question is actually about closing a loan on a Sunday, the answer is the same - there really aren't prohibitions. There are some designated holidays which do not vary based on the day of the week, under Reg Z, and those would apply. An example could be July 4th. For rescission that day is always July 4. If Sunday was July 4th it would not count regardless of the bank closing on Monday in observance of that holiday. My point is that an exception like that could influence what you do, but it doesn't prohibit the closing of a loan on a holiday, or a Sunday.
