Expired IDs Aren’t Good IDs

Our new customer just moved here from out of state. She allowed her old Drivers License to expire because she knew she would need to get a new one here, but simply hasn’t had time to do so with all the hassle of moving. Problem?

Answer:

You cannot rely on an expired government-issued ID if your Customer Identification Program calls for documentary verification of identity. Unless she can supply an unexpired passport or other reliable unexpired government-issued photo ID, she needs to hustle down to the DMV and get her paperwork in order.
