FCRA Review/Update Webinar-Credit Union's Policy

Answered by:

Question:
With regards to the Fair Credit Reporting Act - Review and Update Webinar described at https://www.bankersonline.com/webinars/fcra0617 - should all the topics listed under the Program Content be addressed in a Credit Union's Policy ( except those for the consumer reporting agencies)?
Answer:

This question refers to a webinar which included copyrighted materials. We encourage participants to submit questions during or immediately after the webinar to the presenter. Still, I did not see a section addressing your question. The easiest and most thorough way to answer your question is to refer you to Appendix E of Reg V as it has detailed recommendations concerning policies and procedures.

Also remember that not all of the FCRA is in the CFPB's Reg V. Parts of the FCRA are still "owned" by the FRB. Review the FRB version before you finalize any policies and procedures.
