Flood Cert. on a Mobile Home

Answered by:

Question:
Is it correct that a flood certification is needed for a mobile home that is on a permanent foundation or tied down and is being held as collateral?
Answer:

A flood certification is required for any loan secured by a building or a mobile home. If the property is in a flood hazard area, in a participating community, a flood policy is required. FEMA will not issue a policy on a mobile home unless it is properly anchored.
