Flood Determination on Mobile Home Lot

When financing a mobile home lot, should a flood determination be done for the mobile homes on the lot?

Answer by David Dickinson: If your loan is secured by the mobile homes, then you must complete a flood determination. If you only have the lot, then you do not have to complete a SFHDF.


Answer by Andy Zavoina As an extra twist, if you do not have the mobile homes but do have some other insurable structures such as storage areas or a community building (if this is a park, for example), flood certs should be done.
