How do banks generate and distribute notice letters?

Hard copy notice letters are sometimes generated by the bank's core system and/or exception tracking system. They can also be manually generated and printed using mail merge software. Hard copy notices are usually distributed through the US Mail. Email-integrated systems have led to increased reliance on electronic notices, which can be more cost effective and easier to track.
