For example, in2018, civil monetary penalties (CMP) for flood insurance violations ranged from $5,000 to $207,245. The single largest CMP imposed in 2018 was $1 billion for UDAP issues. Note for certain violations reimbursement to consumers may be required in addition to civil monetary penalties.
