Holds on New Accounts

Answered by:

Question:
When completing the hold notice form for a new account hold, do you use the case by case or the exception hold notice?
Answer:

A new account hold is a special type of hold that technically falls under the exemption hold class. New account holds do not require that you give the customer a hold notice (as you told them you could do this when you opened the account). For customer service reasons you can give a hold notice, but no reaon is necessary.
