Informal Partnership Lending

Answered by:

Question:
When lending to an informal partnership what is the appropriate documentation to obtain and how should the documents be titled?
Answer:

An "informal partnership" is legally a partnership, but the difference is there is no partnership agreement. The partnership is therefore governed by applicable state law. The loan would be documented just like any other partnership loan.
