IRS Levy on Account w/Direct Deposit from SS

Question: 
We received an IRS Levy on an account and the account receives a direct deposit from Social Security. Can we debit the account for and send the funds to the IRS?
Answer: 

The federal regulations that protect federal benefit payments do not include IRS levies in the definition of a "garnishment order;" i.e. those regulations do not apply to IRS levies.
