Minimum Number of Continuing ED Hours for Security

Question:
Is there a minimum number of continuing ed hours required annually for Security Officers?
Answer:

Randy Carey

There would only be such a requirement if your institution established one. The duties and qualifications of a bank security officer are up to each bank to decide and are not dictated by any law or regulation.

One thing I would add that while the regulation is silent on this issue best banking practices would dictate annual training of the security officer. Recently we have observed headlines of violent bank robberies around the United States. If someone is hurt during a robbery situation or even mugged at your ATM the lawyer suing your bank will review what training if any your security officer had received.
