Is My Bank Liable for ADA Discrimination Based on an Inaccessible Facebook Page?

Answered by:

Question:
Does my community bank need to make sure that our social media channels are ADA-compliant? (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
Answer:

No. Although your community bank is responsible for ensuring email communications are digitally accessibly, you are not responsible for ensuring another entity's platform is accessible.

Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media channels are responsible for ensuring they maintain platforms that are digitally accessible for all people.
