New HMDA and mobile home parks

We have heard that manufactured home communities (mobile home parks) secured only by the land and hookups will be HMDA-reportable beginning 1/1/2018. Is this true? The park owner does not rent out any actual homes, just the sites.

Yes, a loan secured by such a mobile home park will be considered dwelling-secured even if no actual manufactured homes secure the loan. We will discuss how these are reported, how to count the number of units, etc.
