Not all manufactured housing is the same

Is there a difference between a manufactured home, and a "pre-cut, tilt-wall" or "panel" home?

Yes. A manufactured home leaves the factory almost ready for occupancy. It may need utilities and sections to be joined, as in a double-wide, but it is 95 percent ready to be lived in. A pre-cut, panel or tilt-wall constructed home is sent in sections to the owner's lot for assembly. There is a lot more construction that is required. The latter is not a manufactured home.
