Opening/Closing the Bank

Question:
How many people with what titles are needed for security purposes to open and close a bank during a normal work day?
Answer:

Typically, any seasoned employee may be assigned opening and closing duties for any facility. One employee should be responsible for searching the premises while the second (control) employee should wait outside in his/her vehicle in the parking lot. Ideally, the searching employee completes the search, walks outside the facility for at least 50 feet after locking the facility's door behind him/her, and then communicates verbally with the control employee via a cell phone or a hand-held radio.

This process is only meant to insure that the facility hasn't been entered during non-working hours -- and to provide a foundation for the rest of the institution's daily security practices to rest upon.
