"Other Hispanic or Latino" Box w/o Origin (LAR)

Answered by:

Question:
If an applicant checks the "Hispanic or Latino" box and the "Other Hispanic or Latino" box, but does not provide an origin, do we report both on the HMDA LAR? The LAR will be coded 1 and 14, is that correct?
Answer:

Correct. Report exactly what they marked/recorded. Don't change it or touch it.
You must report the ethnicity, race, and sex of an applicant as provided by the applicant. [Appendix B to ยง1003 #8]
