Policy on Customers Taking Pics of Records

Answered by:

Question:
Does anyone have any suggestions for putting together a policy on how to handle customers using cell phones to take photos or record interactions within a branch?
Answer:

Many banks (if not most) have adopted specific policies against such activity, both because of the potential for violations of other individuals' privacy rights and because of the possibility of using photos or video records to compromise bank security procedures. Also, many state laws don't permit the recording of conversations (in person or by phone) without the other party's consent.
