Our bank would like to keep away from overdraft situations where we are debiting a customer’s checking account for any overdraft situations. Do we have any options?

Answer:

You can offer a related, but separate, credit account which is intended to cover any overdrafts but you must disclose its availability and credit features cannot be made available unless the bank meets certain requirements including timing conditions.
