Reg O - Bank Holding Company Chairman

Answered by:

Question:
Is the chairman of the holding company of the bank subject to the more restrictive lending requirements of executive officers of the bank under Reg O?
Answer:

Not unless that person is also the Chairman of the bank. The Reg gives pretty specific language on this point. In the preamble to 215.5 it states: "The restrictions of this section apply only to executive officers of the member bank and not to executive officers of its affiliates."
