Regulatory Issues Pertaining to Verbiage on Emails

Answered by:

Question:
I am looking for Regulatory issues pertaining to verbiage on e-mails to customers. (What I can or can't use).
Answer:

I have to answer this with exploratory questions.

What would you say on paper and why would what is said in an email differ from that? The same standards apply.

Does your bank enter into electronic agreements? The discussion of employment, a loan, deposit or service back and forth could constitute an offer and acceptance and with names at the bottom as an electronic signature, and you could have a contract or modification of a contract under E-SIGN and UETA rules.
