Required Signage for ATM

Answered by:

Question:
Can you tell me the required signage for an ATM?
Answer:

If the ATM accepts deposits, Regulation CC requires at or on the ATM (or, if deposit envelopes are required, on the envelopes), a notice similar to notice C-19 in Appendix C to the regulation:

"Funds from deposits may not be available for immediate withdrawal. Please refer to your institution's rules governing funds availability for details."

In the case of a remote ATM from which deposits are not removed daily for processing, a notice similar to notice C-20 in Appendix C:

"Deposits at this ATM between (day) and (day) will not be considered received until (day). The availability of funds from the deposit may be delayed as a result."

If you will impose a fee on cardholders for the use of the machine for initiating an EFT or balance inquiries, a notice on the ATM screen or on paper dispensed before the cardholder commits to the transaction that a fee will be imposed for providing electronic fund transfer services or a balance inquiry and discloses the amount of the fee.

Any card networks that will accept cards issued by network members at your machine are likely to have operational agreements or contracts requiring that the logo for the network appear on or at the machine.

Finally, there may be requirements imposed by the state in which the ATM is located.
