Requiring things in Reg E can be bad

Can we refuse a claim if a customer doesn’t send us a form we require?
Answer: 

No. There are few things the customer must tell you to file a claim. And while a bank may require a written claim, it cannot actually require a specific form, especially of this is burdensome. And remember, your clock starts with the oral claim. It cannot wait for a written claim.
