Searching for an Advertising "Bible"

Answered by:

Question:
I work for a community bank and am fairly new to banking. I'm looking for an advertising "Bible." I've found some resources and thanks for everything you do, but haven't found anything that's all encompassing. Any help would be appreciated!
Answer:

If you are looking for a regulatory resource for advertisements, I did a 2 hour webinar for BOL on ads that included an all encompassing packet of the rules and requirements. You can find it at the BOL Banker Store. The packet covers:

  1. What is/is not an advertisement,
  2. The NEW FDIC signage and advertising rules,
  3. The Fair Housing Act,
  4. Truth in Lending - Closed-end and Open-end rules,
  5. Truth in Savings,
  6. Non-Deposit Investments,
  7. Web Site compliance,
  8. Lobby Disclosures,
  9. Consumer Protection for Bank Sales of Insurance anda Sample Rate Sheet.

If you are looking for marketing ideas, this is NOT it.
