Shell companies and money laundering

Question:
What is a shell company?
Answer:

Shell companies are used to shelter or hide the real source of the funds and the illicit activity. We check for an online presence, shared owners and employees, shared addresses and surge activities. These are indicators that the company may not be legitimate. You can build this into your new account questionnaire process.
