Should General Property Insurance include Flood Insurance

Question: 
My colleague and I have perused the NFIP, QandAs, and are still being questioned by the insurance company. Is it okay for a general commercial property insurance policy to include flood insurance?
Answer: 

General insurance may include flood insurance, but it's not typical. If you believe the general insurance does include the flood coverage, the flood insurance will need to meet the requirements spelled out by FEMA for "Private Flood Insurance" found on pages 57-58 of the Mandatory Purchase of Flood Insurance Guidelines.
