Signing Financial Docs for Acceptance

Answered by:

Question:
We are a community bank and keep all our loans in house. Must a tax return submitted by the borrower be signed to comply with lending regulations on consumer and commercial loans?
Answer:

Whether or not you require the borrower to supply a copy of their tax returns is purely a business decision — signed or otherwise.
