Signs of impending violence

Question:
How do you know when a customer who is angry will become violent?
Answer:

There are warning signs before a person becomes violent – yelling, pacing, sweating, clenching fists, staring eyes, standing too close, and hitting things are all changes that often precede a physical attack. If you are attempting to de-escalate a situation and observe these behaviors, you may need to remove yourself from the area and get help.
