Signs in Lobby for Loan Production Office

Answered by:

Question:
We are going to open a loan production office and need guidance on what types of signs need to be in the lobby. I'm thinking only the Equal Housing Lender Poster, but not sure. We are not taking deposits, and we are not a HMDA reporter.
Answer:

On the BOL Tools page, search on Signage and you will find what is required. Generally these are at a "branch" or the main office. A LPO is not technically a branch but I would advise that since most signage is a "one and done" event, why not include other signage as if it were a branch? This is a low maintenance issue and it may be more time effective when examiners ask what is there to say "all lending related signage is posted as an abundance of caution" rather than look item by item and justify your actions.
