To increase your chances of success, be sure to pick a vendor who has a proven history of successful implementations. The vendor should provide you with a clear implementation timeline (in writing) before work commences, in addition to providing ongoing updates and progress reports. The vendor should also have experience handling conversions from your legacy system to their system.
