What is the time frame allowed to return a cashier’s check to BOFD for NSF or fraud?

I wasn't aware that a Cashier's Check could ever be returned for NSF - does that mean the bank has failed? Returns times for fraud will vary. If the check is a counterfeit, the midnight deadline would apply. If the endorsement of payee was forged, you would have to refer to your UCC, but typically it's three years.
