Time Locking System Necessary on Vault Door?

Answered by:

Question:
Is a time locking system necessary on a vault door anymore? Our vendor is saying no; they have not sold one since 2009. My thoughts, for security purposes, we need to have one installed on the vault door.
Answer:

Unless the requirement is buried in State law, there is no Federal law that specifically requires time locks. If you feel that it is important, then you should probably research additional vendors.
