Unintended credit to receiver

Our business customer sent a reversal to correct a credit entry they accidentally sent, but the RDFI returned the correcting debit. Can we do anything?

Answer:

Yep. That constitutes an unintended credit to the receiver. We’ll take a look at that collection process and discuss, from the ODFI and RDFI perspective, what to expect and how to handle these situations.
