Unsigned Commercial Loan Application

Our loan officers frequently do not get a signed loan application on commercial loans. Do you know of any risk involved in not having one?

Answer by Dan Persfull : There is no federal regulatory requirement to obtain a signed application, you will have to look to your lending policy addressing the application process.

Answer by Lucy Griffin: The one concern about signatures is on any application commercial or consumer, you must document that all borrowers are voluntary applicants and not illegally required by the borrower. Getting signatures is one way to do this, but it is not fool-proof.
