Many of our military customers were required to get an authorization letter from us before their vehicle could be shipped overseas. All it took was a letter.
That was an on-again, off-again requirement imposed by the government. I also know of lenders who contractually prohibited the shipment without authorization or within the first "X" months of the loan.
