If you are looking for a tool that assists in determining the duration of deposit availability holds under Regulation CC, the Reg CC Hold Notice Calendar, which is valid through the end of 2024, should prove helpful.
It has been 5 years since the dollar amounts in Regulation CC were last adjusted for inflation (as required by the Dodd-Frank Act). The Federal Reserve Board and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recently announced the inflation adjustments that will be effective July 1, 2025 (they provide the five-year adjustment information more than a year in advance to give banks plenty of time to get their holds parameters adjusted and to notify consumer account holders of the changes). Each year, the Reg CC Hold Notice Calendar has been updated with any dollar amount changes and with the calendar of weekends and federal holidays affecting holds for the coming year.
