Where to Find REF Repeal of Reg Q (Demand Deposit)

Answered by:

Question:
REF: Repeal of Reg Q allowing interest on demand deposit account. Where can I find this change in the regulation since the new CFPB has taken over? It was previously in FDIC Part 329 Section 329.1 (b)...Where can I find the new wording?
Answer:

You can locate that information here. That's the final rule in which the FDIC withdrew its regulation on Interest on Deposits, which tracked the Federal Reserve Board's Regulation Q. Regulation Q was rescinded in this final rule issued by the Fed. Note that neither regulation involved the CFPB, although the changes were mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act.

The FDIC retained the portion of the regulation defining interest and premiums, but relocated it to its Deposit Insurance Regulations at 12 CFR Part 330.
