Why Master of Accounting over an MBA?

Question:
Why should I pursue a Master of Accounting degree instead of an MBA?
Answer:

If you are looking to advance your career, both degrees are excellent choices. However, a Master of Accounting degree will go deeper into the accounting and finance disciplines and will provide you with tangible “hard” skills in these areas. In addition, a Master of Accounting degree can usually be completed in 12-18 months, whereas the MBA typically takes two years. Lastly, a Master of Accounting degree will prepare you to take the CPA exam, which makes it an excellent choice for those pursuing Controller, Treasurer, VP of Finance, or CFO roles.
