You must understand your depositor’s intent

Question:
If a customer says “I want to add Phoebe to my account,” how do we interpret that?
Answer:

You can’t – not with just that small sliver of information. You must ask more questions and discuss the options and ramifications before you can reach a conclusion about your customer’s intent. One Poster Child learned that lesson the hard way after it made a caregiver a joint owner on an elderly customer’s multi-million dollar account.
