Are Reg E disclosures required when lost, stolen, or damaged debit cards are reissued to customers?
Under Reg E, which requires notices to be posted on an ATM as well as on the screen, is there any release of liability to the bank if the posted notice on the machine is removed/peeled off without the ATM owner's knowledge?
We have an elderly lady who is claiming fraud on transactions dating back to April, 2009. We have contacted several of the merchants and have found that the person using her card is her son. What is her liability in this situation? She states that she authorized her son to purchase concert tickets with her card, but that was all.
Is it a requirement that we have the non-customer fee disclosure on the ATM and on the screen, too?
It was my understanding that E-banking/E-mail bounceback rules were repealed. Is this correct? If so where can I found this info?
