FCRA - Credit Report Direct Dispute

Section 623(a)(8) of the FCRA requires that if you furnish information to credit bureaus, you must also accept disputes over the accuracy of that information. BOL user Dolly Nugent created this form with her bank to improve this process. The form will both provide you with information about the claim, and provide for internal controls and accountability pertaining to the claim.

Dani York, another BOL user provided a series of letters and a form for direct disputes as well. This series of letters will help you progress through the conclusion of your investigation by selecting the letter that reflects the results of the investigation. (The Word files are forms so you will need to unprotect the documents to edit them. The password field is blank - there is no password.)
